If you follow me on Facebook, you'll know that I posted about this family about a million times. Editing their pictures was as enjoyable and laughter-filled as photographing them was. I shot Josh's senior photos a while back and they are still some of my favorites, and so getting to photograph his entire family was much anticipated. These portraits will also be categorized as my favorites for a very long time :) This shoot was composed of eight-yes, EIGHT, people, which was a new challenge for us during a standard portrait shoot. To make sure we captured each personality while also keeping it interesting and fun for everyone, we played games, had races, and acted out classic family scenarios (picking on the youngest, boys fighting over who's fav football team was the best, etc). It was SO much fun. But honestly, as if this family really needed any help having fun together?! Everyone of the pictures of them together is filled with smiles. So fun. Enjoy!

Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 08:03PM An image from the Dempsey family photoshoot: at the end of the shoot, the youngest daughter asked, "Is there going to be a proposal?" When we asked what she meant, she said something about her mom and dad getting married while she smiled and pranced around happily. Right on que, the father dropped to down on one knee and asked his wife to "marry him"... again. Then, in front of their five kids, he kissed her, and said, "I'd do it all over again."

Kacee and Jacob are two of my best friends from high school. Photographing them was such an honor and SO much. While editing I was laughing so hard at some of the out takes that reminded me smooch of all the adventures we all had together. I can remember years ago when Kacee was messaging me and our other friend Maggie on Myspace about how much she liked Jacob, and now they're engaged! Amazing. I just love these two.
This is PART ONE of their photoshoot. Since they're close friends of mine they were willing to do a more artistic, long photoshoot after this one. I cannot wait to share them with you. Until then- enjoy part one!

Oh my goodness, y'all! We had SO much fun with Abby. She took so much care in planning her senior pictures and it truly inspired us and made all the difference. Abby did a ton of research and created a Pinterest board to organize and share her ideas with us. By doing this we were really able to see what she was wanting to get out of her portrait session. It also showed us that she didn't want the typical photoshoot- which is what we are ALL ABOUT! We collaborated with New York based fashion designer Julie Mollo to style the shoot. Her dresses are featured in every one of these photos (minus the very last one). All you girls looking for amazing clothes (especially custom pieces or prom dresses) at an affordable price, head over to Julie's site and show her some love. She trusted us with her clothes for a whole month as we traveled to Texas for this shoot. WOW! How awesome is she? We love her! And Abby fit perfectly in them and wore them like a complete rock star. Big thanks to Michelle, our co-owner, who blew up every single one of the balloons and got chased by cows at the ranch while she was setting up the scenes for us. haha we have so much fun, even when getting chased by cows. Enjoy, y'all!
